We look to learn and make our voices heard once again as leaders gather for COP29 in Azerbaijan – November 11th – 24th immediately followed by the PLASTIC POLLUTION TREATY in Korea – November 25th – 1st December.
What’s in the power point ?
To focus we begin with a quick refresh on Carbon and Water cycles and see how Melting Glaciers are playing a big part in the changing climate .
Then we take a look at COP – what is it all about ? How long has it been going on ? Loss & Damage, Mitigation and Adaptation are the biggest issues. Your
students can take part in the letter writing action and walk in the footsteps of Severn Suzuki at the Rio Climate Summit 32 years ago.
In Part 2 PLASTIC POLLUTION TREATY looks at how Oil production and Plastic Pollution are closely linked together.
The life cycle of plastics , where big Oil spend their profits and how a circular economy could work and make a difference – more actions here to help us
make changes with Re-fill our Waste Recycling Awareness Projects and we take a look at in the circular economy.
Before then we have the opportunity to be inspired by this year’s EARTH SHOT PRIZE on November 7th introduced by Prince William take a look at the amazing innovators, there are three in each of the five categories – Fix Our Climate; Revive Our Oceans; Build a Waste-free World; Clean Our Air and Protect & Restore Nature.
